In electrical power systems pre-stressed screw connections of conducting paths/bus-bars out of Al alloys are common, whereby the operating temperature shall be increased up to 140 ℃ in the future.At this enhanced temperature a screw force reduction occurs after a certain time due to creep and/or stress relaxation processes, which leads to an increasing electrical resistance and in the worst case to breaking down the connections.In this project we aim on increasing the creep resistance by dispersoids without diminishing the electrical conductivity even after long term usage at elevated temperatures.Therefore, the effect of dispersoids in different aluminium alloys on long term stabile electrical connections was investigated.
