Membrane separation process is used as powerful tool for various applications such as wastewater treatment and the removal of contaminant in drinking water. The performance of membranes was mainly limited by material properties [1-2].In this study, polysulfone (PSf) hollow fiber was spun and their ability to remove particles from solution was investigated. The hollow fiber membrane has high porosity which lead to high flux with high loading capacity.Charged hollow fiber membranes have potential as separations for removal at charged particle selectivity.Hollow fiber separations can be used in various applications such as removal of charged particles from waste-water.In the present study, charged polystyrene and poly (methyl methacrylate) particles are prepared under various reaction conditions by emulsion polymerization.SEM,DSC,FT-IR,and zeta-potential will be used to characterize the resulting latexes and latex copolymers.PSf hollow fiber membranes with high water flux performance will be prepared from phase separation systems. The effect of air gaps, the polymer concentration and the coagulation bath temperature on the membrane structure and water permeation properties is investigated. The membranes are characterized by measuring their water permeation properties for positive and negative charged particles and cross-sectional morphology by SEM.
