A novel oral mucosal vaccine based on microneedle array has been developd to make a highly safe, stable and potent product with good compliance.Firstly two types of liposomes as a vaccine antigen (Ag) carrier were prepared: one was the mannose-PEG-cholesterol (MPC)/lipid A-decorated liposomes (MLLs) having a size of 200 nm, and the other the PEGylated lipid A-liposomes (SLLs) of 100 nm.
