Aiming at the problems of speed,reliability,operation and maintenance in the practical application of line protection in conventional and smart substation,system architecture and technical scheme of in-situ(similar with the meaning of on site or near process)line protection based on vertical integration and outdoor installation are proposed.The functions of single-bay merge unit,relay protection,intelligent terminal are integrated vertically to reduce device amounts and varieties,simply configuration,reduce signal transmission,shorten the protection action time.Whats more,this vertically integrated device is applied to provide data acquisition and control execution support for substation-area protection,security and stability device and other substation-area devices.Vital performances are tested and compared.Finally,the scheme is verified to be feasible and advanced through the results of the experiment.
