Hot deformation behavior and processing map of CLAM steel

  The deformation behaviors of China Low Activation Martensitic(CLAM)steel were investigated by the thermal simulation compression test on Gleeble-3500 thermal simulator,under experimental parameters that temperature range is between 950~1150℃,the strain rate range is between 0.1~5s-1 and the maximum deformation amount is 70%.Meanwhile,the constitutive equation and processing map of CLAM steel were built.The results showed that the flow stress of CLAM steel decreases with the increase of temperature and the decrease of strain rate during the hot compression.Moreover,the activation energy of CLAM steel was 243·16kJ·mol-1.And the dynamic recrystallization was the main deformation mechanism of CLAM steel under the hot deformation conditions(950~1150℃,0.1s-1)and(1000℃,1s-1).The dynamic recovery was main deformation mechanism under the conditions(950~1150℃,1~5s-1).Finally,The optimum parameters of the hot work processing(1138~1150℃,0.1~0.22s-1)were obtained by comparing with microstructure analysis which the peak power dissipation rate was 60%.
