The corrosion behavior of sintered NdFeB in nitric acid,citric acid,plating nickel solution,trisodium citrate,Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid tetrasodium (EDTA- 4Na) solutions was studied.Potentiodynamic polarization curves,E-t curves and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) were tested for the corrosion behavior in solutions.The surface morphology of corrosive NdFeB were investigated by means of SEM.We also investigated the galvanic corrosion between main phase (Nd2Fe14B) and Nd-riched phase.The results indicate that corrosion of sintered NdFeB in acid and alkaline solutions have different electrochemical behavior,it is corroded rather seriously in acid solution,and in alkaline solutions of trisodium citrate and EDTA-4Na the corrosion is trivial.The corrosion potentional of main phase is higher the Nd-riched phase,when they compose galvanic corrosion in solution,the corrosion of Nd-riched phase accelerates seriously.
