Cell membrane dysfunction due to loss of structure integrity is the pathology of tissue death in trauma, reperfusion injuries and other common diseases.Certain poly(ethylene oxide)(PEO)-based biocompatible polymers are effective in sealing of injured cell membranes, but the mechanism by which they interact with cell membranes is still unclear.Here, the effects of polymers on structural integrity of vesicles were explored under osmotic and oxidative stress.
