The watermelon variety comparative test was carried out to study on the adaptability of Huangmeiren,Xiaolan,Tianmeiren,Qilin,Heishuai,Heiliren,Hongbaoshi,Milong,No.2 Milong and Heimeiren to the hydroponics of deep flow technique in the same condition of cultivation.The results showed that the synthetical characters of Huangmeiren was the best.Its mean per fruit weight was 1.75 kg,yield was 3150 kg/667 m2,commodity rate was 96.6 %,soluble solids content was 11.2 %,total sugar content was 8.1%,content of Vc was 8.2 mg/100gFW.It tasted sweet and crisp.It was nearly round in shape and its pericarp was yellow with golden stripe.
