Laser ablation behavior of silicate ceramics coating

  Ceramics coating has been used in many fields such as thermal barrier coating and ablative coating.However, there are rare reports on its anti-laser ablation property.Our previous work has prepared ceramics coatings by atmospheric plasma spraying technique, but the anti-laser property is low.In this paper, silicate ceramics coating was prepared by knife coating.The phase structure and surface morphology of the coating were examined by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy analysis, respectively.The optical property was characterized by UV-visible-near infrared spectroscopy, the laser ablation tests were carried out by YSL-2000 Fiber Laser (IPG Co) with the wavelength of 1070 nm and the spot size of 10 mm×10 mm.Results show that the silicate ceramics coatings has a good ability of anti-laser ablation property.
