　　In his seminal Weil Ⅱ paper,Deligne made a number of conjectures on Frobenius eigenvalues and traces of(l)-adic sheaves over a finite field and on(l)′-companions.In this talk,I will review previous work of Lafforgue,Deligne,and Drinfeld on the conjectures,and discuss generalizations to Artin stacks.
