Objective This study investigated the relation between food intolerance and persistent diarrhoea and the curative effect of dietary intervention in infants suffered from persistent diarrhea by measuring specific immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against 14 common food antigens in the serum.Methods Ninety cases of infants with persistent diarrhea were reviewed in infant wards from December 2010 to January 2014 in our hospital.The ninety infants they were from one to three months old were all feeded with infant formula.Specific immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies against 14 common food antigens in the serum were measured in this 90 patients.Infants with milk intolerance were feeded with extensively hydrolysed formulas or amino acid formulas.After post-discharge,they were divided into two groups,intervention group and control group.Intervention group were interfered with extensively hydrolysed formulas or amino acid formulas.Control group were not followthedoctorsadvice.They were followed up in half a year after post-discharge and curative effects were observed.
