Nanocrystalline NdFeB ribbons with different Nd content were prepared by single-roller melt-spinning process, and then hot deformed into anisotropic high-performance magnets after hot compaction.The microstructure of melt-spun ribbons and hot-deformed magnets were investigated.It was found that the grain size in the melt-spun ribbons decreased with reduced Nd content.However, the grains in the hot-deformed magnets were shown to be larger with reduced Nd content.
