Vast areas of Northern China suffered severe drought that had not been encountered for several decades in Early February 2009.Based on fieldwork in Xingtai County of Hebei Province,Either from the scope of drought affected or hazard intensity,we find the drought impact on agriculture is lighter than the result of meteorological statistics and remote sensing monitoring on agricultural drought.Come to the conclusion base on fieldwork:(1) Differences in terrain has a significant impact on the extent of drought intensity.Under the same conditions of meteorological drought intensity,drought disaster effects:plain area>hilly area> mountainous area;(2) Differences in the level of field management can amplify or reduce effects of drought disaster.
