Using DMAc as solvent,water as non-solvent,three kind of Modified poly (vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF) ultrafiltration (UF) membranes (PSi,PA,PS) were prepared by the precipitation phase inversion,blending with nano-silica (SiO2),polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and styrene-maleic anhydride (SMA).The physical-chemical properties and morphology of PVDF membranes were characterized by FT-IR,water contact angle,the swelling index,scanning electron microscopy (SEM),atomic force microscopy (AFM) etc.Considering reactive black 5 (RB5) and congo red (CR) as the representatives of dye effluent pollutions,the filtration behavior to dye wastewater of three different types of PVDF UF membranes was discussed.The results showed that the surface and cross-section of three UF membranes had a great difference,and the porosity of membranes was greater than 79%.The maximum of bubble pressure (MBP) were higher than 0.35MPa,and the flux of pure water were less than 56 L·m-2·h-1.Hydrophilic properties of PVDF UF membranes were notably improved by PVA and SiO2.Rejection of three membranes to RB5 and CR were higher than 91%.The amount of static adsorption to two dyes was relatively low,<0.02mg/m2.After the continuous filtration of two dyes,the cleaning recovery rate of PA and PSi were greater than 94.2%.As a result,PVDF UF membranes with the addition of PVA and SiO2showed a better anti-fouling property.
