Background Previous studies demonstrated higher rates of adverse cardiac events and restenosis in patients with small vessel disease.No large-scale clinical study of everolimus-eluting stents (EES) was conducted in Chinese patients with small vessel coronary lesions.This prospective,multicenter SEEDS study aimed to evaluate safety and effectiveness of the EES for treatment of long lesion,small vessel and multivessel disease in Chinese patient population.
