Effect of electrolyte water and sugar on reducing microbial load in the vase solution and improving the quality of dendrobium orchid flower cv.Burana Jade was investigated by holding flowers in 15 and 30％ electrolyte water (EW;STERIPLANT) and 15 and 30％ EW combined with 1％ sucrose, compared with sterile deionized water (SDI) and SDI + 1％ sucrose (SU) as control in an observation room (21+2℃, 70-80％ RH under cool white fluorescent lights for 12 h/day).
