Recently graphene-based materials have been extensively employed for metal-free electrochemical catalysis in energy applications, but their environmental catalysis has been less explored. In this study, we report our recent investigations on the environmental remediation performances of graphene for removal of various organic pollutants by catalytic activation of peroxymonosulfate (PMS) and persulfate (PS).Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was prepared by a modified Hummers method followed by a hydrothermal reduction process.
