Building Multi-Functional Nano-Carbon Technologies for Printable and Flexible Electronics

  The unique physical and materials properties of carbon nanotubes(CNT)have generated much interest and excitement in the science and technology community [1].Its physical structure,controllable allotropic forms and high aspect ratios give rise to novel physical phenomena with new insight to device physics.We discuss some of the research conducted recently in the creation of nano-carbon technologies,with the growth,nano-manipulation,and functionalisation of carbon nanotubes,by suitable design of novel multi-functional platforms.The importance and clarity in being able to grow and separate type-selected CNT for applications using gel electrolysis and CVD methods will also be examined.
