Aim: To investigate the effect of mercury based Ayurvedic formulation (Sidh Makaradhwaja) on liver in rats.Methods: Male wistar rats weighing 150–250 g were used and divided into normal control,positive control and drugs treated groups.Sidh Makaradhwaja (10,50 &100 mg/kg),mercury chloride (1 mg/kg) and normal saline were administered orally to rats for 28 days.
