Cyanines as functional molecules with large molar extinction coefficients and broad wavelength tenability have been widely applied in various high-tech fields:as photosensitizers in solar cells, and fluorescence probes in sensors for fluorescent detection of trace organic substance or metal ions, etc. In this project,on the basis of pentamethine and heptamethine indocyanines with N-p-carboxybenzyl,N-ethyl or N-methyl groups inthe indole rings from2,3,3-trimethyl-3 H-indoleninium-5-sulfonate,novel aminoderivatives were developed by benzylamine,p-aminoazobenzene,taurine or butylamine reacting with the cyanines for substitution nitrogen for the oxygen or chlorine. The cyanines and their aminoderivatives obtained were separated and purified by SiO2 column chromatography, were confirmed by 1 HNMR and ESI-MS,and the properties of them were investigated.Graphene with excellent specific surface area, thermostability and electron transfer rate has attracted a lot of attention in many fields, but its applications have been limited due to its poor solubility.Modified graphene with good solubility in water was obtained by the reaction of phenylhydrazine-4-sulfonic acid with graphene oxide, and was applied to composite well with the cyanines and aminoderivatives synthesized above,and/or nanosemiconductors materials from various metal precursors for the anode materials. They showed good performance and could be used for dye-sensitized solar cell.
