It is well known that debonding, transverse cracking, shear cracking, fiber breakage and delamination are common failure mechanisms in composite laminates.Those failure mechanisms are detrimental not only to degrade the mechanical properties, but reduce the resistance to cyclic loadings.With the aid of advance of materials science and nano technology and the previous experience, the innovative Ti/APC-2 hybrid nanocomposite laminates were fabricated successfully.Then, Ti/APC-2 hybrid nanocomposite laminates were subjected to static tensile and cyclic tests at elevated temperature up to 150℃ to measure their mechanical properties and observe failure mechanisms.
