Successful application of phase change materials (PCMs) for thermal energy storage can improve energy efficiency, but demands reliable encapsulation techniques.Porous carbon nanomaterials are appropriate candidates to encapsulate PCMs owing to their nanostructure and electrically conductivity. We report two kinds of phase change composites, wax-infiltrated carbon nanotube sponge and carbon nanotube array-encapsulated phase change composite, in which every nanotube is well dispersed among the matrix.
