Chromium catalyzed ethylene selective oligomerization has been attracting much attentions from both industrial and academic fields in the past decades.The well-known class of chromium catalysts based upon various bis(phosphino)amine (PNP) ligands showed a good activity and selectivity for ethylene trimerization/tetramerization with a dominant 1-octene formation over 70％.
