  Purpose: Characterization of a new excipient formulation for orally disintegrating tablets was conducted.Methods: The physicochemical and tabletting properties of new formulation were determined.The compassion test of the formulation with water-soluble binders was also conducted Results: A new excipients formulation showed high compressibility and disintegration properties.Conclusion: Polyvinyl acetate in the formulation acts as not only binder but also disintegration enhancer.
