Objective: To evaluate the prognostic value of E-cadherin,β-catenin, vimentin, and S100A4 expression in a cohort of squamous cell lung carcinoma (SqCC) patients. Methods: Tumors from 204 patients with surgically resected SqCC were used for the immunohistochemical analyses ofE-cadherin, β-catenin, vimentin, and S100A4 expression. The chi-squared test was used to analyze the correlation between the expression of these markers and clinicopathologic parameters. The Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test were used to calculate OS and DFS.A prognostic analysis was conducted using univariate and multivariate Cox regression models. The chi-squared test for linear trends was applied to evaluate the correlations between the expression of E-cadherin, β-catenin,vimentin, and S100A4.
