Essential Thrombocytosis (ET), Polycythemia Vera (PV), Primary Myelofibrosis (PMF) belong to the Philadelphia chromosome negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (Ph negative MPNs) according to the WHO classification (2008).The treatment for these diseases has been using of anti-platelet and cytoreductive drugs such as hydroxyurea and anagrelide.Allogenic stem cell transplant (ASCT) represents a possible cure for MF patients but it carries a high morbidity and mortality and thus its role is limited in only treating younger patients.
