　　In the present study, post inflammation irritable bowel syndrome(PI-IBS) rats were firsty established by intracolonic instillation of acetic acid with restraint stress.Then the pharmacokinetics of berberine in rat plasma were compared after oral administration of pure berberine in normal and PI-IBS rats by UPLCMS/MS.All the rats were received a gavages at a dosage of berberine 25mg/kg according to body weight.The pharmacokinetics parameters were analyzed by WinNonlin software.The results indicated that the pharmacokinetics of berberine in rat plasma was different between in normal and PI-IBSrats.Especially, it is worth mentioning that the total amount of berberine absorbed is more larger and the rate of elimination and metabolism is more slower in PI-IBS rats than those of rats in normal control.
