  Nitrogen doped carbon nano fibers were prepared through a CVD method [1], in which Ni Fe alloy acts as catalyst.EELS mapping (Figure 1) shows a small amount of Ni is left in the fibers after the fibers are washed by hot acid thoroughly.The remaining Ni amount is increased with the increasing of N amount.The fibers were applied to support of Pt nano particles [2]; Pt/NCNF shows better catalysis activity for oxygen reduction reaction than Pt/CNF.The NCNF with 8.7% nitrogen amount was the best (Figure 2).Due to both Nitrogen doping and Ni alloy have promotion effect for the catalysis of Pt/carbon, the authors consider that our method can combine these two advantages.
