The presence of a large number of intracytoplasmic lipid droplets in the oocytes has been considered a major obstacle to freezing.Delipation before freezing,could improve the survival rate of embryos.However,it could also compromise embryo viability,for intracellular lipids exist as complexes of smooth endoplasmaic reticulum–lipid globules– mitochondria in cells,which are a source of oocyte energy.
