The development of ecofriendly, reliable process for the synthesis of nanomaterials using microorganisms is an important aspect. We have concentrated on the use of actinomycetes in the intracellular biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles. It was observed that when different species of Streptomyces viz Streptomyces rameus NBR and Streptomyces sp.LD021 were exposed to aqueous 10-3M AgNO3 solution at 280C ± 0.50C for 72 hours under optimum conditions, they synthesize silver nanoparticles intracellularly.Particle size is in the range of 12 to 22 nm.The characterization of nanoparticles was carried out by using UV Visible spectrophotometer.XRD.SEM techniques.
