Recently, natural plants have received much attention as sources of biologically active substances including antioxidants, antiinflammation, antimutagens and anticarcinogens.Gas chromatography (GC) has been the method of choice in fatty acid analysis for half a century and had been widely adopted as a highly applicable tool in micro-scale analytical work in a number of research areas of fatty acids.Cephalotaxus sinensis (Rehd et Wile) Li, large sized, evergreen tree common in China, traditionally it is used against dyspepsia, ascariasis, inflammation and cough.Information concerning the exact composition of C.sinensis is scare.
