The main method of treatment of depression is medicine.In the separate components analysis and comparative experiments found that traditional antidepressant prescription "Ganmai Dazao", the Extract from the licorice (Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.) has good anti-depression effect in the animal models.By the components analysis, the flavonoid constituent (flavonoids, licoflavones) is the main antidepressant part of the extracts.Based on preliminary experiments on artificial cultivative licorice from Ningxia province in Chian, Licoflavones was targeted to study the antidepressant effect and the related mechanism.
