In recent years, SnO2 nanostructures with mesoporosity have attracted much interest owing to their wide range of applications, especially for chemiresistive gas sensors.Generally, mesoporous features are introduced into spheres, fibers and films;however the reports on mesoporous nanosheets are relatively limited, although these unique two-dimensional structures commonly result in superior and fascinating gas-sensing behavior.In this contribution, hierarchically mcsoporous SnO2 nanosheets were successfully synthesized via a simple, cost-effective and environment-friendly hydrothermal method at a relatively low temperature (90℃) after calcination in air.
