The source region of the Yellow-River,locating in the northeastern Tibetan Plateau and providing approximately 33% of all Yellow-River streamflow, was often thought having a warm and dry trend in climate change in the last several decades by many studies. In this study, climate change over the source region of the Yellow River during 1961-2012 was analyzed based on air temperature, precipitation and runoff data from 26 weather stations and five hydrologic stations in the region and its surroundings.Satellite-based monthly precipitation products (TRMM 3B43V7) and the high spatial resolution precipitation data from a new atmosphere forcing dataset for China (ITPCAS atmosphere forcing dataset) were also used in this study.
