Non-synonymous single-nucleotide polymorphisms(nsSNPs) in cytochrome P450(CYP) genes may affect drug metabolism and drug-drug interactions(DDIs), potentially leading to adverse drug reactions(ADRs).The effects of P450 nsSNPs on drug metabolism and DDIs are still not well understood because reliable methods are lacking to study the function of a large number of CYP variants.
