Helium(He)behavior in metals has been a subject of both scientific interest and technological significance for decades.Because of its extremely low solubility,high mobility and self-trapping characters,He can easily migrate and aggregate at various defect sinks,leading to the nucleation and growth of He bubbles,thus seriously degrading the physical and mechanical properties of metal-based nuclear materials in nuclear reactors.Generally,adopting the simplified “jellium model”,the dissolution of He in metals can be treated as being embedded in an electron sea.However,to our best knowledge,the He-He interaction in jellium have not been investigated.
