We propose a new and elegant approach to study the cusps by using remote X-ray imaging,which is now possible thanks to the relatively recent discovery of solar wind charge exchange(SWCX) X-ray emission,found to be occurring in the vicinity of the Earths magnetosphere and especially in the day-sidemagnetosheath and the cusps,where the exospheric neutrals density is high.
