Effects of alkaline-earth metal oxides on structure and properties of iron phosphate glasses

  In order to figure out effects of alkaline-earth metal oxides on iron phosphate glass structure and properties, the glass system (100-x) (60P2O5-40Fe2O3)-xRO (RO=MgO, CaO, SrO, x=0,5,10,15,20,25 mol%) was investigated.Structure properties of glasses were studied by using XRD, FTIR, DSC, while information about chemical durability can be gained in acid and alkali solution at 80 oC for 5 days.Results from XRD show all glasses are amorphous.
