In this empirical study, the researchers studied the relationship between college students usage behavior of Wechat and the bonding and bridging social capital they own.An online survey was used to collect data from college students.After controlling demographic variables and usage of other social media, researchers generally found that,the more college students use Wechat, the more bonding and bridging social capital they have.Besides, the study showed that different usage of Wechat has different effect on the bonding and bridging social capital.The influencing mechanism of Wechat usage on college students social capital was analyzed and discussed systematically.
