The micron structured ceramic coatings were fabricated on carbon steel surface by plasma spraying with Ni/Fe,AL2O3/TiO2 and myristic acid(CH3(CH2)12COOH)molecules.The morphology,microstructure and phase of the powders and coatings were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffractometry.The corrosion resistance of the super hydrophobic composite coating on carbon steel in seawater is investigated using electrochemical and contact angle measurements.The corrosion resistance of the composite coating is estimated by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and polarization curves.
