The Beijing- Hangzhou Grand Canal pass through the Nansihu lake.In order to evaluate how the water quality of the Nansihu lake was changed by the Beijing - Hangzhou Grand Canal,six sampling points of the Nansihu lake were established in November 2008,January 2009,March 2009,and April 2009.Result in:the water temperature(0.5 meters deep) in the Beijing- Hangzhou Grand Canal slightly was higher than the original lake of the Nansihu lake.pH,chlorophyll - a and cell density in the original lake of the Nansihu lake were all higher than the Beijing - Hangzhou Grand Canal.The TN and TP in the Beijing -Hangzhou Grand Canal were all higher than the original lake of the Nansihu lake.We think that:the water quality of the Nansihu lake is changed by the Beijing - Hangzhou Grand Canal,and this phenomenoh is mainly caused by the wastewater,emissions,waters primary productivity and refraction coefficient.
