Kaposi sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) is a human y-herpesvirus associated with several human malignancies, KS, PEL and MCD.As with other herpesviruses, KSHV undergoes latency and lytic reactivation cycles.After primary infection, KSHV expresses a a series of lytic genes followed by a draft decrease.KSHV develops various strategies to escape from innate immunity to establish latency.
