A demanded competent engineer nowadays is considered as a person who is good at not only engineering knowledge but also engineering skills such as communication,team work skill,problem solving ability,and working attitude.Correspondingly,universities have been urged to change their traditional education methods to innovatory ones and a CDIO (Conceive-Design-ImplementOperate) approach is recommended.This paper aims to share experiences and results obtained by applying this approach to the Manufacturing Engineering Program at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering,University of Technology,Viet Nam National University-Ho Chi Minh City.Accordingly,an introduction would be presented; then a short methodology would be introduced; and the results would be also drawn.Finally,some conclusions would be proposed.
