Cone snails are tropical marine predatory mollusks,their venom contains conotoxins which comprise predominantly disulfide-rich peptides that target specific ion channel and receptor subtypes.A conotoxin,tx5e,was isolated from venom of Conus textile that collected from South China Sea,and then identified with N-,C-terminal sequence analysis and mass spectrometry.
