The shale gas reservoir has the characteristics of low porosity and low permeability.Hydraulic fracturing has been widely applied in development of shale gas reservoirs to increase production capacity.When the shale gas reservoirs are being fractured,many microseismic events will occur.Therefore,the microseismic events can be recorded and located to get the fracturing effect of the shale gas reservoir.The technology can be divided into two categories,borehole and surface microseismic monitoring.The surface microseismic monitoring is deemed to be unfeasible because of its low SNR for a long time.But it is also effective in some regions if we take some measures to dampen the noise.
