ntroductionSince Bankart described this lesion for the first time in the patient with recurrent dislocation of the shoulder joint, avulsionof the anteroinferior capsulolabral complex from the anterior glenoid rim has been the main pathology of the anteroinfeiorinstability of the shoulder joint. The treatment of anteroinferior instability most commonly is focused on the Bankart repair withadditional tensioning of the inferior glenohumeral ligament. There are two main techniques in the arthroscopic Bankartrepair; the transgleoid fixation technique and the anchor fixation technique. These two techniques are the same in an aspectof reattachment of the anterior labrum and glenohumeral ligament complex. However, the Casparis transglenoid technique mainly focus on the suturing the glenohumeral ligament. On the other hand, with the anchor technique, the detachedanterior labrum is also repaired with the ligament. However there are very few reports that compared the two arthroscopictechniques clinically.
