The properties of noble metal nanocrystals (NCs) are largely dependent on the structures and shapes, such as catalysis, spectrum, energy storage and conversion.And noble metal NCs with high-energy facets usually exhibit the superior surface-enhanced properties for their massive unsaturated atoms on the surface.Herein, we will introduce the recent work of our group, relating the synthesis of mono-dispersed single-crystalline gold and palladium rhombic dodecahedra, octahedra and cubes, and Pd@Au core-shell nanocrystals with trisoctahedral, tetrahexahedral and concave cubic structures.
