翟城位于河北定州县城向西约15公里处,是一个百年前就曾闻名全国的村庄。据考证,这里的村民自治组织比学术界以前认为的我国最早的民间自治互助组织——北京大学消费公社还要早10年,且组织严密、制度完善、职责分明、效果显著、影响深远。 Zhai City is located about 15 kilometers west of Dingzhou County in Hebei Province, a village well-known throughout the country a hundred years ago. According to the textual research, the villagers’ autonomous organizations here are 10 years ahead of Peking University Consumer Association, the earliest private self-help organization in our country, which was previously considered by academia.
