“公交优先”的倡议最早由法国人提出,所以那里有世界上最为错综复杂却有条不紊的地铁系统。而在同样发达、高度工业化且被称为“车轮上的国家”的美国,不发达的公共交通系统一直被很多人诟病。但随着原油价格的飙升以及全球经济萎靡,美国人也开始逐渐使用公交出行,美国政府开始注意到公共交通领域,因为投资于公共交通不仅能够带动就业,还能解决困扰已久的碳排放问题。
The “bus priority” initiative was first proposed by the French, so there is the world’s most intricate but methodical subway system. In the United States, which is also developed and highly industrialized and called “the country on a wheel,” the underdeveloped public transport system has been criticized by many people. But as crude oil prices soar and the global economy is sluggish, Americans are also beginning to make use of public transport, and the U.S. government is beginning to take notice of the public transport sector as investing in public transport not only drives jobs but also tackles the long-plagued carbon emissions .
