Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Company Institute of Optoelectronics developed into a high sensitivity, high-speed response to the spatial light modulator, using it to record real-time, Fresnel hologram reproduction success. Real-time holography is crucial for the realization of animated, flexible optical processing systems. However, to date, rewritable holographic materials such as photochromic materials or lithographic materials have not been sufficiently responsive and sensitive to enable real-time holography. Spatial light modulator as a real candidate for real-time holographic alternative means, is expected to get high definition sharpness. The developed spatial light modulator uses a sandwich structure in which amorphous Si: H is sandwiched between glass substrates coated with a transparent electrode
